Fundraising Update
Welcome back playground supporters!
We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and is settling back into school and routines nicely. Over the summer we carried on with our donation drive and reached out to the community for support through the summer solstice and HHBH CA Stampede BBQ.
Thanks to those events we have now raised over $165,000!!
We have also applied for 3 grants in the last few weeks:
The Alberta Blue Cross Grant - worth up to $50,000
The Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) Grant - worth up to $125,000
Parks Foundation Calgary - Building Communities Grant - worth up to $30,000
With a successful grant (or hopefully a few) we will be on target for a Spring 2023 build!!
We want to thank everyone who has donated so far. It is not too late to get your name or logo on the donor board. All donations over $25 will receive a tax receipt and a donation of $1000 or more will get your family’s name or company logo on the donor board. And if you’ve already donated, you can always “top-up” to get on the donor board.

Fall Apple Fundraiser: Last Chance to Order is October 12
Our Fall Apple fundraiser is well underway but we still need to sell about 25 boxes of apples to put our order through! Don’t miss out and order yours today!
Each box comes with 15lbs of handpicked apples. Choose from Gala, Ambrosia or the Okanagan Blend box (a surprise mix of this year's freshest varieties).

Briar Hill School Apparel is Back - Crews + Hoodies
The Briar Hill School Classic Crew is back for fall by popular demand and we now have hoodies available in youth and adult sizes as well! These are only available for a limited time so visit our online shop to order yours!
Order Deadline: Friday, October 28th (Orders will not be accepted after this date)
Order Pickup: Friday, November 18th @ Briar Hill School.
Bottle Drive - Oct 22
Bottle drives are back and our next one is happening on Saturday October 22!
We will need 2 volunteers to help out at the trailer that day. Email briarhillplayground@gmail.com if you are able to take a shift.
Ascent Health & Sport Therapy October Promo
Each October, local clinic, Ascent Health & Sport Therapy chooses a community project to give back to. For the 2nd year they have chosen to support the Briar Hill Playground Project (Thanks Ascent!!!). Ascent believes in community places where kids can safely be active and play outside. So in addition to being in the community, this project hits close to home for them. Book an assessment or register for one of their fall classes and they will donate $5 for each new patient towards the playground.
How else can I help?
Playground Committee Members - We are looking for a few new parents to act as playground liaison and fundraising coordinator. Tasks would include working with parent council to set up fundraising events through out the school year, attending parent council meetings, and putting together the monthly newsletter.
