Spring Update + Events
Happy Spring Playground Supporters! A big thank you to Briar Hill Parent Council for organizing an amazing Spring Fling. It was so lovely to see all the students and families together again. We had a beautiful night for it (apart from that crazy wind) and raised more money for the playground. Thanks to everyone who volunteered and made it such a great success.

Ms. Spidla’s Grade 1/2 class who made amazing keychains, raising $195!!
Miss Roberts kindergarten classes for selling their beautiful artwork!!
Scarlett Makowecki in Mr. McClellen’s Grade 5/6 class for selling her yummy cookies in support of the playground!
And DJ Korinna for keeping the party hopping.

Fundraising Update - Have Your Donations in By June 30
Thanks for all your support and donations this past month! We have raised our fundraising total to $115,000! Our Purdy’s Easter Fundraiser and April Bottle Drive brought in $1,500!
If you have been thinking about donating or waiting for the perfect time to do so, please make your donations before June 30. We are applying for a grant in September and need to have as much funding in place as possible to maximize our chances of a successful application and secure the most amount of funding!

Our next bottle drive is happening on Saturday May 28, 2022!
Please look for the trailer on the NW side of Briar Hill School parking lot and drop your recyclable bottles/cans off between 10am - 2pm.

Does your company have a community outreach program? Many corporations offer volunteer grants or will match your personal donation. We need everyone to reach out to their companies and seek these opportunities out. The playground committee is here to help fill out forms and answer any questions you may have.
